Asus ROG Phone was officially launched in the Indian market and has a price tag of Rs. The smartphone was first introduced worldwide at Computex 2018 in June this year by the company's Republic of Gamers (ROG) game brand. The highlight of the smartphone is that it is the world's first smartphone with a 3D steam chamber cooling system. It also features a carbon pad and a copper spreader for additional cooling. At the launch event in India, Asus officially announced the ROG Phone Award in India, the release date, and the launch offers.

Some of the most notable features of the Asus ROG phone include ultrasonic AirTrigger touch sensors, a gamer-centered design with side-mounted ports optimized for landscape mode, an AMOLED display with HDR optics, a 90 Hz refresh rate and a response time of 1 ms. In addition, it is powered by a special, fast-speed Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor clocked at up to 2.96 GHz, paired with Qualcomm's Adreno 630 GPU. Asus also says that Asphalt 9 has been optimized for 90Hz displays.



Asus ROG phone price in India, start offers

The Asus ROG Phone price in India was set at Rs. 69,999. It comes alone in the built-in memory variant with 8 GB RAM / 128 GB. The phone will be available exclusively via Flipkart from today (29th November). The company offers free EMI offers (6.9 and 12 months). Other introductory offers include Flipkart's full mobile protection plan for Rs. 999

The prices for the accessories have also been quoted: The Professional Dock will be available at Rs. 5499; GameVice (joystick) at Rs. 5,999; TwinView Dock at Rs. 21,999, Desktop Dock at Rs. 12,999, ROG Phone Case at Rs. 2499. A Jio listing for the Rs. 509 plan includes 4GB of data per day and Rs. 5,000 cashback.




Asus ROG Phone Specifications

The brand new Asus ROG Phone features an Android Oreo-based ROG Gaming UI. The smartphone has a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED display (1080 × 2160 pixels) and offers a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a response time of 1 ms with HDR. In addition, the smartphone's display has a 108.6% DCI P3 color space and a 10000: 1 contrast ratio. One of the key highlights of the phone is a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC running at up to 2.96 GHz with a game-optimized Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU.

The Asus ROG Phone is available in an 8 GB RAM version. In the camera department, the handset has a dual rearview camera setup with 12-megapixel cameras (Sony IMX363 sensor, aperture 1: 1.7) and 8-megapixel cameras (120 degrees wide angle). AIt also has an 8-megapixel front camera to take selfies. In India, Asus introduced the ROG Phone mode, which comes with 128GB of built-in memory.

The ROG Phone connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac / ad, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, AGPS, Glonass, a USB Type-C port, NFC, and a 3.5mm jack. Handheld sensors include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a compass, a gyroscope, a proximity sensor, and ultrasonic AirTrigger sensors. On the back, there is a fingerprint sensor.

The ROG Phone has a 4,000 mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 at the bottom port and Quick Charge 4.0 (30W) at the side port. According to Asus, the battery is 60 percent charged in 30 minutes. There is also an IPX4 rating that confirms the splash-proof housing. The Asus ROG Phone measures 158.8 × 76.2 × 8.6 mm and weighs 200 grams.

Among the features comes the Asus with a removable AeroActive cooler for additional cooling in the ROG Phone. The smartphone features side-mounted ports and two programmable ultrasonic AirTriggers and advanced force-feedback haptics. It has the optional TwinView Dock for a two-screen handheld mode.




The Asus ROG Phone has a Mobile Desktop Dock for desktop-style games and a game vice controller with WiGig Dock that uses 60GHz WI-Fi for large-screen games. The handset also features Asus Aura RGB lighting and Aura Sync support, as well as ASUS HyperCharge direct-charging technology. Wireless streaming options such as Miracast are rated at 500 ms latency.
