Nokia 8.1 is likely to be running an Android One-based version of Android 9.0 Pie

Nokia 8.1 is expected to be the next smartphone from HMD Global at an official launch expected early next month on December 5th. Shortly before the market launch, official marketing material and advertising posters were allegedly published. The leaks indicate that the Nokia 8.1 is indeed the global version of the Nokia X7 and is the phone that was previously codenamed Nokia Phoenix. The leaked marketing posters show the design elements of the upcoming smartphone alongside the most important specifications and functions.

A Nokia PowerUser report gives us a glimpse of the leaked Nokia 8.1 marketing posters just days before the expected official launch. The first few shots show the design of the Nokia 8.1, which is similar to that of the Chinese Nokia X7 - with the same display notch, Nokia's lower chin branding, a vertical camera with two rear cameras, and the round, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In addition, the posters feature a 20-megapixel selfie camera, Android 9.0 Pie, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, a 6.18-inch Full HD + display and dual rear-view camera setup with OIS and Zeiss optics, It also features the same two-tone anodized metal frame as the Nokia X7. Obviously, Nokia Android 8.1 will be installing an Android One-based standard version of Android Pie, as is the case with all new Nokia global mobile phone models.

As a reminder, the launch of Nokia 8.1 is expected at the launch of HMD Global on December 5 in Dubai. It's interesting to note that the Nokia X7 is likely to debut with the Nokia 8.1 moniker worldwide, while the Nokia X6 and the Nokia X5 are called Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus. The launch of an Indian launch event is scheduled for December 6, and we can expect the same model to be launched in the Country.

It is rumored that next month at this HMD event another world-class Nokia smartphone could be unveiled. This could be the highly anticipated flagship of Nokia 9. If true, the Nokia 9 could include premium specifications such as a 6.01-inch, no-hack display, a rear camera setup for the Penta lens, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in memory To provide storage.
