HP announced the launch of the new HP Specter x360 15 Convertible laptops at CES 2018. This is the first laptop to run on the new 8th generation Intel chips with integrated AMD graphics card but in a different version with a discrete Nvidia graphics card. The technology giant also introduced the HP Envy x2 with Intel processors, the HP Z 3D camera, the HP Pavilion Wave with Amazon Alexa, OMEN gaming technology and the gaming display. The company also announced accessories such as the HP Tilt Pen, the Specter USB Type C Power Adapter, and the Specter USB Type C travel Dock.




HP Specter x360 15

The HP Specter x360 15 Convertible is the world's first notebook to feature the latest generation 8th generation Core i7-8705G processor with Radeon RX Vega M graphics. This version of the Specter x360 offers battery life of up to 12 hours with Fast Charge technology. Another variant includes an Intel Core processor of the 8th generation (unnamed) with discrete Nvidia GeForce MX 150 graphics card. This variant offers battery life of up to 13.5 hours with Fast Charge technology.


The new 2-in-1 is built from a CNC milled aluminum chassis with an angle profile of 19.5 mm. The HP Specter x360 15 is available in a single color version: Dark Ash Silver with copper Luxe accents. It features a 15.6-inch 4K (2160 × 3840 pixels) UHD touchscreen display protected by Gorilla Glass 4. Security features include an IR camera with Windows Hello and a fingerprint reader. The weight of the laptop is 2.1 kg. The Specter x360 15 will be available in March for $ 1369.99 (approximately $ 87,000) in the United States.

The HP Envy x2 Hybrid


The HP Envy x2 is an always-connected PC with a fanless CNC machined aluminum case. The notebook is a variant of the Windows PC model "Always Connected", which was launched in December with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The hybrid features a 12.3-inch WUXGA + display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The 7th generation Intel Core processors of the Y-series have 8 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256 GB PCIe SSD memory. The hybrid runs on Windows 10 Home OS and has a battery life of up to 17 hours. Connection options include Connected Modern Standby for Wi-Fi and LTE Advanced support. The weight of the HP Envy x2 is 766 grams.


HP Pavilion Wave




The HP Pavilion Wave brings virtual assistant Alexa from Amazon to Windows 10 - one of the first PCs to do so. This PC features voice recognition to assist Amazon Alexa with activities such as surfing the web, working or streaming content. The PC also features Intel Smart Sound technology, which enables 360-degree audio output. The HP Pavilion Wave will ship in spring 2018 for a price of $ 549.99 (approximately Rs 34900).

OMEN X 65 Big Format Gaming Display



The HP OMEN X 65 Big Format Gaming Display has a 65-inch display with a resolution of 4k (2160 × 3840 pixels) with HDR10 support, 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits Peak Luminance. The display offers the integration of Nvidia G-Sync and Nvidia Shield for an enhanced gaming experience.




OMEN Game Stream

OMEN Game Stream provides a networked cloud gaming experience and helps integrate AAA games on Windows 10 PCs.





HP Z 3D camera



The HP Z 3D camera has a magnetic badge that discreetly attaches to monitors. HP's scanning technology claims to create a 3D model that provides users with high-resolution images for 3D applications. It scans objects with resolutions and manages different texture maps for VR / AR / MR applications. Finally, there is the possibility to share pictures and live videos directly from the desktop. The HP Z 3D camera will be available in the US in March 2018 for $ 599 (approximately Rs. 38,000).

An older model of the HP Specter x360 was previously introduced last October. In September 2016, a Pavilion Wave version with Cortana was also released.
